In collaboration with Sub-Zero’s marketing team, we conducted an in-depth discovery phase rooted in customer surveys and field research. This process identified key user needs and persistent pain points, which were then balanced against brand and business objectives to shape the foundation of this ambitious redesign.
Design
Our team partnered closely with Sub-Zero engineers to integrate system layouts and material constraints into a design that is both visually compelling and mechanically robust. Design concepts were evaluated not only for their aesthetic and ergonomic merit but also for opportunities to introduce entirely new features to the market.
A strategic shift to modular manufacturing enabled core interior and structural components to be customized with different finishes—allowing for greater differentiation between unit types and more personalized consumer choices.
Deliver
Our design team delivered WindUp — a sleek, upright cleaning unit equipped with a one-touch revolving roll system and a precision spray applicator. Its uniquely angle head and clean lines, self-contained cartridge, and upright stance set it apart from traditional floor cleaning solutions.
Sub-Zero
Under Counter Line
Sub-Zero engaged our team to reimagine their Under Counter refrigeration lineup—expanding the offering with new SKUs, upgraded lighting, refreshed interior finishes, and a range of innovative features. The lineup includes two widths (15” and 24”) and five distinct configurations: Wine Storage, Refrigerator/Freezer Combo, All Refrigerator, Outdoor All Refrigerator, and an all-new, feature-rich Beverage Center. Our design team collaborated closely with Sub-Zero’s engineers to elevate the performance, flexibility, and aesthetic of the entire Under Counter range.

Fully customizable exterior—accepts custom cabinetry panels for a seamless built-in look or stainless-steel accessory panels and handles to coordinate with other Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances
Designed to integrate effortlessly in any space: a beverage center adds luxury to a master suite or creates a sophisticated refreshment station in a home office—the possibilities are endless
ADA height compatible, providing expanded accessibility and supporting minimalist, handleless design configurations
Industry-first patented, full-extension upright Beverage Shelf with adjustable gates to secure upright containers—folds flat to accommodate bulkier items
Full-extension, multipurpose shelf accommodates bottles, cans, food, and various container sizes with ease
Ergonomically optimized on-door touch control panel allows intuitive access to all functions and settings
Nano-coated glass shelf edges form a hydrophobic barrier, helping contain spills and simplify cleanup
Four-mode soft-on LED lighting fully illuminates the interior when opened and offers customizable ambient lighting settings when closed
Connected appliance control via the Owner’s App—adjust temperature, receive open-door alerts, or access remote diagnostics from anywhere
New hinge design enables fully concealed hinges, reinforcing a clean, integrated appearance
Each unit in the updated Under Counter line now features enhanced ergonomics, refined LED lighting, and the same industry-leading spill-proof shelving found throughout Sub-Zero’s portfolio. But the standout is the all-new Beverage Center—a category-defining unit featuring two industry-first innovations: the full-extension upright Beverage Shelf and the highly adaptable Multi-Purpose Shelf.
